Happy Birthday, Mommers

Today is my mother's 57th birthday. She and I share a very special (and precious and rare) bond for which I am so deeply thankful. Not only are we mother and daughter, we are also best friends. I even call her "Mommers" or "Mommyfriend" sometimes.

She has sacrificed a lot for me during her lifetime, and I hope she knows that I'm forever grateful for everything she has ever done. She raised me to know the difference between right and wrong. She instilled in me a good work ethic. She took care of me when I was sick (and still does, now that I think about it). She punished me when I needed it, and continues to gently correct me when I am wrong (but we all know that isn't very often, right?). She has loved me unconditionally for almost 27 years now.

Any thing that is good about me came first from God, but was nurtured by my good and loving parents, and I adore them both so very much. Thank You, Lord, for my mother and father, and for all of life's beautiful blessings that You have so graciously bestowed upon us.
