Good news

My mom got to talk to Dad's doctor this afternoon, and he thinks he is going to be just fine. I am humbled and so thankful for this great news. On top of his health being restored, this hospital visit as well as the follow-up doctor visits, will all be free since Dad was part of a clinical study. And since my parents aren't exactly rolling in cash, this is yet another blessing straight from God. And I thank Him.

Dad's mouth is still a little droopy and he has trouble chewing and swallowing, but those symptoms should continue to improve over the next few weeks and months. It is pitiful to see him like this for now, but at least we know that he will be back to normal (well, what is considered normal for Dad, anyway!) in no time.

I have always been a "Daddy's girl" so this episode doesn't change things. If anything, I'm even more of a Daddy's girl.
